It's time to introduce to our leather range one of the most interesting & sought-after leathers—the unique Horween Shell Cordovan.

Horween's Shell Cordovan is one of the most sought-after leathers in the shoemaking industry, and that is for a reason.

Shell Cordovan is an equine leather made exclusively from a fibrous membrane with is located beneath the horsehide on the rump. From a horsehide, exclusively 2 shells of about 2 sqf can be obtained, with a roughly total footage of 4 sqf of Shell Cordovan.

It is really a category on its own, it is a very unique material that is made differently, that we need to work with it differently and it wears really differently if compared with calfskin or cowhide.

For this first batch we went with the most classic of all shades, the color #8. A deep burgundy color that varies a lot in tone depending on the lighting the shells are exposed to; ranging from a light red-brown to a deep dark burgundy.

A beautiful leather paired with our newest Jumper Boot—the result is a timeless casual boot ready to serve you well the years to come.
